Four Movies and a Shoot ...

Have been doing the whole movie thingy this last week…saw Closer, Van Helsing, Blade 3, Girl Interrupted (again!) and bits of Mystic River (talk about depressing…Clint Eastwood is just tooooo fartsy for me!) and it’s only Saturday! Loved Van Helsing. That Hugh Jackman sure is one juicy chunk of man meat!!!

Closer was interesting enough albeit a little disjointed. Natalie Portman comes in from America to London, has an accident and meets Jude Law, who then meets Julia Roberts, who then marries Clive Owen..(who she first meets…or didn’t I mention that?) while she’s still fooling around with Law who then leaves Portman..(who he’s now married to) who then goes back to stripping and sleeps with Owen who then gets back with Roberts who leaves Law after which Portman finally goes back to America. Didja get that? Two mixed up couples and a veritable plethora of bad relationships and attitudes. Some scenes though were very well handled. Portman did a fabulous job playing a young stripper. Five stars ...out of ten!

Girl, Interupted is just a classic and merits it's own review in its own little posting so thats a story for another day and Blade 3...what can I say? I just adore the whole "lets-wear-our-tightest-leather-pants-and-go-kick-some-vampire-butt" thingy these guys do!

Oooh, oh …and there’s this other really amusing incident that happened that I must report. Met this Exec from Sahara Tv who’d come in to do a shoot at the Hotel. So here I am with Shalini standing around keeping her company, making small talk when suddenly she decides that “being single girls” as we both were, was the topic du jour.

Miss Congeniality (identity changed for fuck’s sake) : You know what my biggest problem with men is?
Shal : What?
Miss C : I want to know why so many of them are unable to give me an orgasm!
Mee : (running hand through hair that’s run astray from bending to pick my jaw up off the floor) Gasp!
Miss C : No I mean really. I need my “O”! I want my “O”! Seriously. “If I don’t get my ‘O’, you’re out the door”
Shal : So I’m assuming you don’t currently have a boyfriend…
Miss C : Yea well you know I’m not currently on any loyalty program. I was seeing this guy, you know, for two years, but that was a few years ago. So now I’ve got my priority right…Me!
Shal : (sympathetic…she’s the original Drama Queen!) Aww.. What happened?
Miss C : He just dumped me. Said I was too immature.
Shal & Mee : (exchanging “TheLook”) *Gasp* Noooooooooo!

We were rescued, many many sordid minutes later, by the spot boy telling her the sets were ready. After which we promptly went back to our office and spent the better part of 15 minutes giggling about it. It just takes all kinds I guess!

Also must proudly report that “stalker boy” has stopped msging. After weeks and weeks of unrequited Good Mornings, Good Evenings and Sweet Dreams he’s finally gone and given up. Men these days I tell you! No staying power! ( I’m sure Miss C will agree with me on that one..hehehehe!)
