Page 3...Hoo me???

Ok so its been quite a hectic few days and when I say hectic I mean jammed-with-so-much-to-do-I-don’t-have-time-to-scratch-my-arse hectic! Really baaaaaad! And all the more fun for it! So now its time to take a deep breath and blog about it! Here goes!

One of the most fun things I did these past few days was the beer guzzling thingy! (Yup, there you have it! It’s official! Varsha can do a much faster bottom’s-up than I can! But then again I’m excused on the grounds that the last time I won a bottom’s-up I wound up marrying the loser!!! So it's a mental block thingy, really!) On Sunday afternoon the Plaza saw us down liters (Varsha did a staggering 1.2 liters while I just about managed a puny .975 in under a minute) of the vile yellow liquid in an effort to win that golf hat!(..not to mention a meal-for-four at Sampan coupon, a free day at the Spa & a crate of Foster’s beer! But we ain’t greedy folks. We just did it for the golf hat!) And what’s more is the Delhi Times managed to catch me at my worst moment ever and decided to print the picture in the Wednesday edition! Other than that all I can do is put in a diary of all the stuff I’ve been up to. Hey.. I never said my life was boring.. stimulating, electrifying, despondent (in verry minuscule bits) and even bordering on the psychotic sometimes.. but never, NEVER boring!

06th Aug : Was the infamous Monu’s Birthday so Saturday night saw us partying and gossiping away as we always do at her house in Friend’s Colony. After which we went over to Pooch’s house for a farewell party she threw for our very dear friend Rama.(who is going to St. Louis to gather more accolades and is also going to start updating her blog verrrrry soon!) Hope you have a blast babe! And while I still showed toe cleavage (I’ve been nick-named Twinkle Toes!! Can you believe it?) I tried not to flirt too much by my clever non-usage of nail-polish! How smart is that! ( ..or am I sending out the wrong signals? Will someone please educate me on proper podiatric etiquette?)

07th Aug : The beer guzzling thingy at the Plaza. And if that was not enough we got together with Anu and Gauts in the evening for drinks at their house and a most fabulouso dinner at China Garden! (Five decanters of sake, a few Caprioska’s, vodka and beer maketh for a fun evening, Confucious say!!!..*hic*)

08th Aug : Chilled out at home and caught up on some reading.

09th Aug : Party time again! This time it was Deepa’s birthday so we figured we’d cash in on the lovely meal for four coupon Varsha won on Sunday and have a meal at the Sampan. After which we moseyed over to Kasbah for a little boogie time!







10th Aug : Fell asleep at about 7.30 pm. A new record really!

11th Aug : And yet another birthday! This time we went to Noida to wish Seemit. Was a fun evening.

12th Aug : Went to the Delhi Gymkhana for those awesome chicken, chilly ‘n cheese sandwiches with Seema . Bumped into Rohit and Zuli there so moved the party to the Orange Room. Nice place. Must take you there when you’re in town next Nish-pish!

13th Aug : Spent the day at the office working till about 8 p.m. Had to drag myself from work..(yeah! I work reaaaaallly hard people!!) for drinks at Deepa’s, dinner at 360’s (the most amazing Carapaccio that did the whole melt in my mouth routine! Another must-do Nish-pish!!!) and dancing at Kasbah. Seemit joined us at Kasbah and the evening’s entertainment turned out to be this fight that happened when a testosterone-loaded Punju munda made a pass at the resident DJ’s girl! Was fun to watch!

14th Aug : Had lunch at the Taipan with Varsha and Krishnaa. Ate dim-sum like it was going out of style!!! A grand total of 39 portions of fried and steamed dimsum between the three of us and it only lasted about 2 hours! Total paisa-vasooli!! Rocking! And in the evening yet another one of Rama’s friends decided to throw her yet another farewell so we sat on these designer chairs and listened to journalist banter at his house in Vasant Vihar and tried to look knowledgeable (Though how one can pull that off while simultaneously trying to consume copious quantities of an assortment of alcohol is beyond me!!) Rama looked realllly hot in her little backless number though! More power to her!!

15th August : Happy Independence day people! Yet another holiday spent at the office. Don’t you just love deadlines??

16th Aug : After a full day’s work went cycle-shopping at Govindpuri for a friend’s daughter. Saw Meet the Fockers yet again! Aaaassss-oooole!

17th August : Finally, finally started on my jig-saw puzzle! It’s this most amazing 2000 piece 3.5’ x 1.5’ panoramic view of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel! Really been looking forward to it!

Whew! That’s done! That’s the deal. I’ve also been quite bad the last couple o weeks and put on 2 kilos. I really need to get back to the gym! More when it happens! Muuuuaaaaaaaaaahhhh!
