Happy "Blog-day" to Me!!

It's a beautiful day! Been raining all am…cloudy…drive-out-of-town-weather! Also, today marks the first anniversary of the start of my blog (and my hundred and ninety-fifth blog entry). It's been a fun year. Fabulous Nish-Pish, of course deserves all the credit for introducing me to the “Wide World of Blogging”…so thanks baby! It's been a blast. Hope I can keep this up!

I just don’t get it…I really don’t. Got a message from an strange number a few weeks ago. When I sms’ed back asking who it was this is the message I got…

"Wel u don no me ths ws just a humbl propsal of frndshp frm my side. (...right or left??!!??) aur raha sawal mein kaun hun ..b my frn n u ll no tht"

What the fuck??!!?? Anyways, when I didn’t respond I was flooded with a barrage of equally infuriating sms’s wanting to be “frens”! Finally, since he didn't pick up the phone when i called off my number, I had Shalini call the man..(turns out hes a student at some local school/college…the things these kids are up to these day!) and threaten to call the cops on him. Needless to say the poor boy stopped messaging!

But my rant for the day is why can’t we spell out words anymore? How hard can it be people? That’s what the T9 is there for! And there’s even a site that translates the Queen’s English into “sms friendly” garble! Haalp! It’s not like we Indians didn’t manage to mangle the language ourselves anyways without interactive tools to help the process! Aaaarrrrrgggh!

The good thing though is I’ve started exercising again. Been two days of 40 mins of cardio and a week of crunches, butt presses and other incongruities. Have the mother of all body aches today.. almost enough to keep me in bed! But as they say, “No pain. No gain”…or as in this case…loss, so shall keep at it, hopefully, for a bit!
